Me: 'Look, if you want to get into the best DU colleges, the board exam is the toughest. If you want IIT, then JEE is the toughest. If you aim for IAS/IPS, CSE is the toughest. For PSUs or IITs for Masters, Gate is the toughest. For foreign universities, GRE/GMAT is the toughest. For AIIMS, it’s the toughest. For becoming a CA, that’s the toughest for you. Want to join the Indian Forces? NDA/CDS is the toughest. The same goes for SSC-CGL/CHSL/IBPS exams.

Me: 'Was that a statement or a question?'

Why do US military soldiers/officers have a chest full of medal ribbons when they probably haven't been in a combat situation? Are the medals for attendance, good behaviour, or long service perhaps?

Me: 'Exactly! What's the point of comparing different exams? What are you trying to say?'

Me: 'Exactly! The same applies to Gate. When people say Gate is tough, they usually mean it’s tough for PSUs. Gate questions might be easier, but the competition is fierce due to limited seats.'
